Shaker style is a simple style which works equally well in a country kitchen or a contemporary kitchen design. This is a good choice if you want other elements (such as the countertop or appliances) to take center stage. It consists of a rectangular border with a flat panel center.

The light to medium style cabinets look good in any kitchen where you want a classic feel, but a lighter tone overall. The lighter stain allows the wood grain to be more visible. Many of them have a glaze and/or a contrasting highlight color along the design edges.

The medium to dark color cabinets coordinate well with many of today’s furniture colors. This makes them a good choice for kitchens which are open to dining or living rooms. Traditional doors and drawers have a raised or recessed panel design with additional detailing.
